Cancelled-order lots

Project or retail cancellations — complete sets, original spec, often packed and labelled for export. Deeply discounted relative to normal wholesale because the manufacturer needs to clear warehouse space quickly.

Production overrun

Where factory capacity exceeded the order book. A-grade product, current range, ready to ship. Pricing reflects the manufacturer's need for throughput, not product quality.

End-of-collection

Discontinued designs clearing out. Popular with trade buyers assembling ex-display or clearance ranges — full sets, last-run quantities, below future-catalogue pricing.

How it works

The Kacmazsa workflow for furniture buyers

  1. Submit sourcing brief

    Specify category (sofas, bedroom, kitchen, contract, etc.), quantity (FCL or part-container), quality grade, price target and destination Incoterm. The desk replies within one business day.

  2. Lot shortlist

    Kacmazsa sends 2–3 matching lots with Lot Passports, factory photography, compliance status (fire-retardancy, CARB where applicable) and FOB or EXW pricing.

  3. Reserve + inspection

    A 10% reserve locks the lot. SGS or QIMA conducts pre-shipment QC — dimensional check, finish and material inspection, packing review, container loading supervision. Report and photos released to buyer before payment.

  4. A.TR + documents

    A.TR movement certificate for duty-free EU entry; EUR.1 origin statement for UK buyers (0% duty under UK-Türkiye FTA); commercial invoice and packing list in buyer's required currency.

  5. Payment release

    70% released after passed inspection and loaded container. 20% after confirmed receipt. Reserve (10%) applied to first milestone payment.

Compliance

CE and compliance for furniture buyers

  • Upholstered furniture — fire retardancy: UK buyers require compliance with BS 5852 (source ignition) and BS 7177 (combined combustion testing). EU requirements vary by member state — Kacmazsa checks and declares fire-retardancy status in the Lot Passport.
  • Kitchen cabinets — formaldehyde: Buyers selling into markets with CARB Phase 2 or equivalent requirements should confirm formaldehyde compliance. Kacmazsa flags this during lot verification.
  • A.TR duty-free for EU — HS chapter 94 is fully covered under the EU-Türkiye Customs Union.
  • EUR.1 for UK — Turkish-origin furniture qualifies for 0% UK import duty under the UK-Türkiye FTA with EUR.1 or origin statement.
  • CBAM does not apply — furniture (HS 94) is confirmed out of scope for the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism.
