Source ceramic tiles from Turkey

Turkish ceramic tile manufacturers supply over 30% of EU imports. Kacmazsa connects European wholesale buyers with verified surplus and run-rate lots — Lot Passports, pre-shipment inspection, and A.TR duty-free documentation included.

The supply

Turkey is Europe's ceramic-tile supply backbone

  • Turkey is the EU's second-largest ceramic tile import source, after China, with production hubs in Kütahya, Bilecik, Bozüyük and Çanakkale.
  • Turkish factories produce 60×60, 60×120, 80×80, large format and mosaic tiles under EU EN 14411 standards.
  • Many factories run 3-shift production with significant surplus from shade-code mixes, cancelled orders and overruns.
  • HS codes: 6907 (unglazed), 6908 (glazed) — both eligible for A.TR duty-free entry to the EU under the EU-Türkiye Customs Union.
  • CE marking (EN 14411 / Declaration of Performance) is required for EU construction-product placement. Kacmazsa verifies CE/DoP status on every lot before listing.
Lot types

What Kacmazsa lists

Surplus shade mixes

Shade-code lots where a production run was paused. A-grade tiles, mixed shade, declared honestly in the Lot Passport. Popular with buyers who tile whole floor plans from one source.

End-of-line collections

Discontinued pattern or format — whole-stock clearing from factory warehouse. Ideal for project buyers who need a large quantity of a single design at below-catalogue pricing.

Run-rate production

Standing inventory from active production lines. Consistent quality, CE/DoP on file, repeatable order cadence for buyers sourcing tile on a continuing basis.

How it works

The Kacmazsa workflow for tile buyers

  1. Submit sourcing brief

Specify format (60×60, large format, mosaic, etc.), grade requirement, quantity (FCL or half-FCL), price target and delivery terms. Kacmazsa's desk replies within one business day.

  2. Lot shortlist

Kacmazsa sends 2–3 matching lots with Lot Passports, factory photos, CE/DoP status and FOB pricing. Shade code breakdown and dimensional tolerances declared upfront.

  3. Reserve + inspection

A 10% reserve locks the lot. SGS or QIMA conducts pre-shipment QC — dimensional check (±0.5% per EN 14411), shade sort count, surface defect sampling, packing integrity and container loading supervision.

  4. A.TR + documents

A.TR movement certificate for duty-free EU entry, commercial invoice, packing list. EUR.1 origin statement for UK buyers under the UK-Türkiye FTA (0% import duty).

  5. Payment release

70% released after passed inspection and loaded container. 20% after confirmed receipt. Reserve (10%) applied to first milestone payment.

Compliance

EU compliance for ceramic tile buyers

  • CE marking under EN 14411 — ceramic tile classification by water absorption: Class BIa (≤0.5%), BIb (≤3%), BIIa (≤6%), BIIb (≤10%). CE + DoP required for EU construction product placement.
  • Declaration of Performance (DoP) — required for CE-marked ceramic tiles placed on the EU market. Kacmazsa includes DoP status in every Lot Passport.
  • A.TR movement certificate — proves goods are in free circulation under the EU-Türkiye Customs Union. Enables duty-free entry to all EU member states.
  • CBAM does not apply — ceramic tiles (HS chapter 69) are confirmed out of scope for the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism.
  • EUR.1 for UK buyers — under the UK-Türkiye Trade Agreement, Turkish-origin ceramic tiles qualify for 0% UK import duty with EUR.1 or origin statement.
